King Coilovers
Coilover shocks are an all-in-one, high performance suspension solution for your rock crawler, prerunner, or custom buggy. They start out as King Performance Series shocks and have their bodies threaded to accept King's Coil Carrier hardware and springs.
Their compact, space saving design makes them very easy to mount in even the tightest spaces and makes them ideal for custom applications. Another benefit of coilovers that makes them popular with off-road racers is that they allow for very quick and easy tuning of both the shock absorber valving and spring rates.
King Coilovers are available in 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 body sizes and accept springs with rates up to 1,000 lbs per inch. All models include dual spring rate hardware and can be purchased with a remote or piggyback reservoirs. Springs are not included in the prices listed below but they can be added along with other options and upgrades including triple rate hardware for an additional fee.
Unlike most performance shock absorbers, King shocks are not built on an assembly line with generic valving and stored in a warehouse. Each and every King shock order is 100% custom built and valved to the customer's exact specifications by a King Racing shock technician. Best of all, this unique service is offered for free to Filthy Motorsports customers and it only adds a few days to your delivery time.
Selecting the proper valving and spring rates for your application is part of the custom shock building process. When you place your order with Filthy Motorsports, you will be asked to provide as much information about your vehicle as possible so that they can coordinate with King Racing on selecting the proper setup for your coilovers.
Finally, you will be glad to know that King coilovers are designed and built to last a lifetime. This is because, by design, they are completely serviceable, tunable, and rebuildable. In fact, all you need are a few replacement parts, a set of basic hand tools, and about an hour of time. If you prefer not to tackle the job yourself, you can always send your shocks to Filthy Motorsports and they will service them for you and get them back on their way to you in one business day.
